paper
This site-specific art brings to light the relationship between the city and the individual, as well as the dystopia that exists there, by intervening in the city.
He picked up various types of paper found lying around America and assembled the pieces to create the form of a map of the United States. Among the carelessly scattered trash, the paper that is consumed in large quantities - flyers, fast food wrappers, magazines, etc. - symbolizes the scrap-and-build process in which buildings and people are constantly replaced. The abstract colors created by assembling these pieces represent the chaos of the city, and the petal-shaped pieces that proliferate within it express the uncertainty of the city's existence - what one might call "delicate, like petals that scatter when blown."
The artwork was pasted on the streets of New York and then turned into trash by city cleanup.
