Insulation sheet, Acrylic rod, Light bulb, Socket, Wiring cord

Tokyo Designers Week

Asia Award Student Award Semi-Grand Prix

The material used is a heat insulating sheet that is attached to windows to create a half-mirror effect, and by folding the material to create a shape, the light bulb inside becomes slightly transparent when turned on, making it a lighting fixture that looks beautiful both in the daytime and at night.

Tokyo Designers Week Asia Awards School Exhibitions Semi-Grand Prix

This lighting fixture was made using a half mirror as a material. When you turn on the light bulb inside, the material is transparent.

When the lights are off, the insulating sheet that is attached to the window reflects the surrounding light.

When it is off, the half mirror reflects the surrounding light.

When lit, the insulating sheet on the surface becomes transparent, but the insulating sheet at the back reflects the light, creating a complex glow.

When lit, light is reflected complicatedly inside, and beautiful light is born.

After two presentation rounds, the project won the semi-grand prize in the Tokyo Designers Week 2014 Asia Award Student Award.

After receiving two presentation reviews, I won the Semi Grand Prix.
