Tokyo is a most ebullient city, its reigning chaos having a big influence upon the lives of its inhabitants. The petals the work is composed of photographic angles and takes describing the city of Tokyo, patiently assembled piece after piece.

この作品の素材にプリントされた色は、元は東京の色彩の一部だ。東京のあらゆる情景をカメラで写し取った後に、印画したものを細かく切り刻んである。ある意味でこの色彩は東京の迷彩とも言えるが、この色彩の捉えどころの無い抽象性と都市の地図上の記号性により、東京の街のカオスを暗示させる。
